Day
29. Thu 7th September.
Homeward
bound
We
are up at five in the morning. I have arranged for a taxi to pick me up at
the Kiboko to take me to the airport, and Ken has to be in town for nine
anyway for his unexpected meeting with the Minister. I'm very sorry
that I can't stick around to hear the outcome, and I promise to ring
him from England as soon as I get back.
I have plenty of time for a good breakfast at the Bohemian Cafe, and to
say goodbye to the beautiful Sarah. I manage to get a photo to
remember her by, although it's not a very good one. Then it's off to
the airport and it's all over once again.
Epilogue
As I sit at my computer at home in Macclesfield writing this final page I get an email from Gaynor's office.
They have received a text from Gaynor, who is now in Malawi herself, to say that
the Minister has approved the agreement, and that it was signed by
Leonard Sefu and Ken in Gaynor's presence on the 7th February 2007.
Project African Wilderness is officially in charge of Mwabvi
Wildlife Reserve - now the fun starts!
