Day 23. Sun 13th October
Homeward bound
We breakfast by the pool, and then Auxies takes us to see a friend who
does wholesale curios, but they are not as nice as the ones in town, and
not very much cheaper. I have absolutely no cash left, and no room in my
luggage, so I am not in the market for souvenirs anyway. We take a quick
tour of Lilongwe market before lunch.

We lunch at a dairy farm outside town, and although there is very little
evidence of any animals, apart from half a dozen cows, the restaurant is
very pleasant.
We return to the hotel to pick up our luggage and realise that we should
have taken a group photo while the whole group was together. Better late
than never, we rope in the hotel receptionist and he manages to photograph
the whole group with each camera, managing to cope with Nathan's monster
machine and my digital - I think he's done this before.
Then Auxies drives us to the airport (ridiculously early - I think
he wants to get back to his family, and who can blame him) and we say our
last farewell and prepare for the 12 hour flight back to Mud Island.
